Getting social media to lead to bookings

The goal was not to add followers but prospects: to bring people planning their trip to Machu Picchu to the hotel's website and its own booking channels.

[ 03 · What we did ]

Sell the experience, measure the inquiry

It was teamwork between the agency, the hotel and the audiovisual specialists. My part was managing content and measuring how prospects moved toward a booking.

  1. 01
We positioned the hotel on the experience, not the room.

The architecture, Qunuq's cuisine and cultural experiences such as an Andean wedding or visiting Machu Picchu with a shaman.

  2. 02
We planned the production with the audiovisual team.

Architecture photography at sunrise and sunset, videos of the guest's journey from the train station to the suite, and behind the scenes in the kitchen for Stories and reels.

  3. 03
Content, paid media and measurement in a single funnel.

Paid campaigns and social listening aimed at driving traffic to the site and the booking channels. Through analytics we tracked leads month by month.

  4. 04
We supported the hotel team in its digital customer service.

So that every inquiry that came through social media got an answer and could end in a booking.

From shop window to inquiry channel

The hotel's social media stopped being just a shop window: the content showed the full experience, paid media led to the site and the hotel team was ready to answer and close each inquiry. In numbers: more than 10 hours of video produced, 48% more followers and more than 1,500 leads a month.

[ 05 · Conclusions ]

Ready to keep growing!

  1. 01
Marketing and content that move the needle.

A well-executed digital strategy, with high-impact audiovisual content and close work with the hotel team, changed the visibility and lead generation of a luxury brand.

  2. 02
    A better-prepared hotel team.

Sumaq's team grew more confident on its digital service channels, key to converting people looking for a five-star experience in Cusco.
